The Cody Medical Foundation is selling canvas bags featuring Jenny Johnson’s colorful artwork. Bags are for sale for $20.00, and may be purchased at 1432 Sheridan Avenue (Prudential Brokerage West). Proceeds go to the Big Horn Basin Cancer Treatment Center to help refurbish the chemotherapy room.
Thanks again to all who helped make the October 19th, Living Up Country, Kicking Out Cancer, a wonderful fundraising event for the Big Horn Basin Cancer Treatment Center. The Cody Medical Foundation held the event at Cassie’s Supper Club and the event was sold out thanks to the wonderful community support. The Cody Medical Foundation also raised additional funds through a raffle and auction.
The Cody Medical Foundation honored Pat Chapman, the late John Jackson and Peg Strow at Friday’s fundraising event at Cassie’s.
“These people have rolled up their sleeves, taken hold of many hands and reached out to help countless people in so many beautiful ways,” Executive Secretary Marty Coe said.

Thank you to all the people purchasing tickets to the Cody Medical Foundation’s fundraising event, “Living up Country – Kicking out Cancer” on October 19 at Cassie’s Supper Club. The dinner tickets are sold out, however for a $20 donation, people are welcome to attend the marshmallow roast and line dancing starting at 8:30.
John Edgar Jackson, 63, of Cody, died July 21, 2012, after battling cancer. The Cody Medical Foundation will honor John’s memory at the October 19th, Living Up Country fundraiser held at Cassie’s Supper Club, in which proceeds will go to refurbish the Chemotherapy room at the Bill and Joanne Price Cancer Center.
John was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 and gave back to the Cody community by sponsoring advertisements urging men who have never had a PSA test to do so and he even offered to pay if needed.
